Has finally started. NEXT started from Dec 27, as most of other apparel retailers such as ZARA and ESPRIT. Fields shopping center started their Winter Sale from Dec 29 and Lyngby Storcenter from Jan 2.

Summer Sale
Summer sale in Denmark started as early as the last week of June, although some stores, like NEXT, started only in mid July. It lasted for almost two months and discounted the prices up to 70 percent in some retailers. I managed to get three Zara shirts for 99 DKK (28 SGD) each.

Hah!
Everyone's complaining about Microsoft OS, Microsoft Office, Hotmail, and Hah! Now Google too! The slightly more than two hours outgage of Gmail, gave a wake up call to those people that favours hosted applications instead of traditional in-house applications. In a perfect software as services world, even a 5 minute downtime can be a deal breaker.
In light with the Beijing Olympics, do you know that the official site of Beijing Olympics 2008, is powered by Sharepoint Server 2007?

Just 'cuil' it...
Have you 'google' it? Jusk ask Mr. 'Google'. Google this, Google that... for the last 5 years or so, Google has been the King of search engine, up to the point where the term 'google' is synonym to the term 'search'. This morning, a band of Google alumni, launched a new search engine called 'cuil', read, 'cool'.
It boasted more than 12 billion web page indexes. One thing that is very prominent, instead of the traditional line by line result, cuil formats its search result in newspaper-like column style. I'm not sure whether it will be a selling point or not, at the end of the day, when people use search engine, I believe the result that matters most. A simple search on my fullname returns seven valid references with google, but none with cuil.
I think it will be a while until people will ask Mr. Cuil instead of Mr. Google.
